Kurt Angle was born in Mt. Lebanon, Pennslyvania, USA, December 9, 1968. He had a nice family growing up with four older brothers, and one sister. His sister died of a drug overdose, and his father died when Angle was sixteen at a construction site. He grew up with a good education, and went on to college at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in education in 1993. He went on training with David Schultz for olympic style wrestling, he won the gold medal in the summer olympics of 1996. Then he met the love of his life, Karen Smedley. They were married December 19, 1998. The couple went on to have a daughter Kyra, and a son kody. Sadly, Karen filed for a divorce in September 2008.
